A gift from his father-in-law in the late 1800's, the two-room log house was transformed by Larsson and his wife Karin, into a homestead of bright and intimate rooms. At a time when the industrial revolution was already having its effect on the style of life, the Larssons' careful artistry and the genuine handicraft trades of the local craftsmen produced a much admired and respected dwelling. The impulsive and inventive artist loved the homestead and Larsson fans will recognize manhy of the rooms in these photographs of "Little Hyttnäs" from his famous paintings and illustrations.
