It felt like a dream to the greatest extent; it was difficult to fathom this was happening to me. I'm sure I would have never earned my bachelor's degree if she didn't come into my life. Like Superwoman, this Redbone swooped down and scooped me up just in the nick of time.\nAt that moment, love simply captured my heart wholly and instantly. I had nothing to do with the matter and couldn't deny it or resist; it was no use trying to. It was like I was captured in a net of love. The webby emotional mesh of love cast over my complete being nullified any doubts it was anything else.\nI was a sophomore at a historically Black college—falling in love with any female was the last thing on my mind.
