Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). Jesus doesn’t look for perfect, trained, qualified or pure souls. He came for the lost ones. We were all in sin once and lost as sinners. But His love found us. All we have to do is surrender. Come to Him as you are, with your brokenness, with your imperfections, with your shortcomings and weaknesses. Give them to Him and watch as He transforms you from a broken vessel to a vessel of honor. You do not have to perfect yourself, or make yourself a certain way to come to Him or work for Him. He is the Artist and you, His masterpiece. May this book stir within the depths of your soul a passion for Jesus, to build His Kingdom, an unquenching desire for lost souls, to bring them back with the same love that saved you. The fore- runners and pioneers of our faith suffered much and laid down their lives seeing the great eternal reward that lay in store for them. When they gave themselves completely without inhibitions, God used them mightily, without holding Himself back. This is my invitation to you today. Do you love Jesus to go to the extent that our brothers and sis- ters in Christ do? He can do the same wonders and miracles that He did through these surrendered vessels, and much more through you. Answer His call. Surrender. He will do the rest. Rise up in Christ with the roar of the Lion of Judah and reclaim the nations for Christ.
