MER is proud to have contributed to the body of literature of motherhood with the honest, nuanced, and thoughtful works we have presented, and present in this issue.\n\nThe organization of works in this volume draws inspiration from the four elements (earth, water, air, and fire) and celestial bodies, the sun and moon. We mother in conjunction with the earth, the universe.
