Charles is outraged that no action is planned over this intelligence, despite his wife being killed and so he passes the information to an Israeli MOSSAD officer he knows. This brings to Vienna a senior female MOSSAD official, who had known Charles’ father during WW II, when he was in the OSS in Portugal. In return for the intelligence, he expects the Israelis to go bring the daughter out of Eastern Europe, as Charles had promised the now dead Ivan. Charles then resigns from the CIA and disappears under an alias in Europe with his newly adopted “daughter.” A decade later, his past arises and someone is surveilling him, but who and why? Charles is presented with an opportunity to discover who betrayed him and his wife back in 1990.
