Although the prophet is in Babylon with the exile of Jeconiah, most of his prophecies are addressed to those remaining in the Holy Land, forewarning them of the impending destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. We read of numerous prephecies that the prophet dramatizes before the people, indicating the certainty of their realization. We read of the prophet's dramatization of the seige of Jerusalem. We see him lying on his side for an extended period to atone for the sins of the kingdom of Israel and Judah. We see him baking bread of various species of coarse grain, depicting the starvation diet of the inhabitants of the besieged city. We read of the abominations being commited in the Temple and of the angels coming to destroy it.

This invaluable aid to learning Ezekiel is used by students around the world! It provides the benefit of owning two sets in one, since each volume features both the complete Hebrew Mikraoth Gedoloth as well as a concise, modern English translation of the text with extensive commentary.

In addition, each and every Rashi is translated, as are selections from the Ramban, Sforno, Rashbam, Ibn Ezra, from Talmudic and Midrashic sources, and numerous other commentaries never before translated.
ASIN: 0910818886
VSKU: BVV.0910818886.G
Condition: Good
Author/Artist:Rosenberg, A.
