It could be said he was selfgoverned most his life and earned everything in his life the hard way. One fateful day he received greetings from his Uncle Sam. This Uncle requested his presence at the Los Angeles armed forces induction center. After being tested, it was determined he was eligible for Army officer training at Fort Benning Georgia. An opportunity came along after Infantry OCS to become an Armor officer during the Vietnam conflict. Mike was selected to be a S-1 staff officer as a first lieutenant at Fort Knox Georgia. After the service obligation was at an end , he returned to his old job at a Frozen food warehouse. In due course and hard work: he became a leadman, foreman, supervisor and eventually a warehouse manager. Michael served at this company forty-five years before retiring.
