Jill is a crusader for Truth, and rejects and is appalled by those who, in religious circles, have created Biblical matricide to promote patriarchal superiority. Her dissertation has been rejected as heretical by Harvard University. She is summoned to Jerusalem to review another enigma, an ancient codice and the 8,000 year old bones of a skeleton found near the Holy Lands. Her encounter with the bones renders her unconscious, and it is at that time that she begins to awaken to her own sacred truth. In the final chapter of the book, we discover that Jill and her new husband. Jared are aware that their daughter is the reincarnation of the Goddess Sophia, and that Jill is once again immortal.\n\nThere are aspects of Gnosticismwoven in the context of this novel to allow the reader to experience a perspective of religion beyond the patriarchy.\n\nJill is a combination of Joan of Arc and the mystical Merlin.
