70 Days

In the 1800’s, many hopefuls pioneered across South Dakota. At that time, Sioux Falls was considered to be the “gateway” commencing a 70 Day walk to the Black Hills. While most cattle came up from the well known trails out of the southern United States, there was a small herd waiting in Sioux Falls. Sold to a rancher by proxy, these cattle were to be delivered to the Black Hills by late summer. The cowpunchers hired to drive this herd west were all women. Tough as leather and independent as the rivers they cross, these women fight their way across the prairie. They face difficulties that could surely lead to their demise, and for some, it did. These strong women forge a bond through grit, victory, and loss that will take your breath away.
