Description
This special edition of 'A Dialogue Concerning Witches and Witchcraft' was written by George Gifford, and published in 1842, making it just shy of two centuries old. But this text is even older than that! The 1842 edition was reprinted from the original book, which was first published in 1603. A truly antiquarian text, at over 400 years old!
Gifford decided to write this book on Witches and Witchcraft in an accessible narrative format, because he wanted even the most unsophisticated of people to be able to read it and understand. He surmised that a dialog was the most easily digestible form. In saying that, the book is written in thick Medieval parlance with archaic spelling abounding, and it can be a tough read at times.
This dusty old book is filled with mythology and superstitions on Witches and Witchcraft and is an absolute must-have for all those interested in this ever-fascinating and timeless subject, and all enthusiasts of the paranormal and occult.
