A Life of Struggles

Life is a constant struggle from the moment we come into this world to the moment we die; we are constantly struggling to survive. The story of Celine, a working housewife, is something similar. Narrated by her brother, the tale starts with a young, energetic and tomboyish, Celine who falls in love with a mysterious boy named Calvin. Life should have been picture-perfect for her but one day, without any warning, Celine, along with her kids, show up at her sister, Cheryl’s house. Once there, she leaves her kids, heads out for a job interview, and goes missing for over twenty years. In these twenty years, Celine finds herself a victim of poverty, jailed and when she finally gets out, she learns that her kids and husband have passed away in a car accident and that her family holds her responsible and hates her for it. Devastated, but not ready to give up, she slowly starts to put her life back together and even remarries. But her new life brings in new challenges, that threaten to take her husband away from her.
