Description
"The shepherd, the shepherd's wife, and the shepherd boy lay on their backs on top of the hill. Their day's work was done. Their sheep were asleep. And they had run out of things to say.
"So they just lay there on top of that hill and stared lazily into the night sky."
On the hills above Bethlehem, it was a night like any other. At least, to begin with. But soon it had become a night to remember for ever...
The joy and wonder of the first Christmas are recaptured by Bob Hartman's evocative text and Tim Jonke's glowing illustrations. This fresh retelling of a timeless tale will delight readers of all ages.
