A Walk it the Woods is a beautiful story of how children can work together to make one man's life filled with happiness. Follow mischievous Willie, his little sister and their friends as they do something nice for a man living alone in an empty warehouse. This book is meant to be different, says the author. She wanted it to be about the spirit of Christmas without the presents, the lights, and even the religion. A sprit that can last throughout the year not just during the holiday seasons. The spirit of caring. The spirit of friendship. The spirit of giving. Proceeds of the book go to the care of the author who has been diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia. Her family has helped her publish this story so she can see her book in print. This is her favorite story that she has written and it brings her so much joy to have it made into book.
