Author Ben Lochary feels that his 38 years as a commercial airline pilot for a major carrier gives him a personal look at all facets of safety practices in today’s airplanes and the airline industry. From the perspective of the pilot in the cockpit, Ben talks about accidents and near misses he has observed and studied. He feels strongly about aviation safety. His goal in writing this book is to consolidate some of the facts and findings of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) from a number of intensely investigated and important commercial airline accidents.
