Back Through the Veil III: The Children of Africa: The Journey Continues

Back Through the Veil III is a continuation on the Back Through the Veil series, a genealogical history of various African American families loving in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. In this edition, the following families are featured: Benjamin Carmouche Boston Francois Holmes Thomas Pierre In addition to the above, many other families are included in this study as a result of their intermarrying into those families. The goal of this study was to locate members of these families in slavery. That goal was achieved in the case of the Francois family. In the case of the Thomas family, evidence included in this study strongly suggests that one of their ancestors was born in Africa!
