Detective Nicholas Silvano is assigned to the Ohio Strike Force tasked with dismantling a drug cartel flooding America’s Midwest with a heroin so lethal just a speck can cause instant death. Gato, a Los Serpentes cartel sicario, becomes a confidential informant in exchange for the promise of Witness Protection. When Gato reveals the cartel has a new leader who uses voodoo against his enemies, Nick is reminded of a previous case – one that ended in death. As Nick and his partner work with Gato to bring down the cartel, it soon becomes clear that someone has it out for the detective. But who? The FBI agent who has a long-standing grudge against him or a ghost from the past with an ally who wields her own special power? The past and present collide in Tampa when Nick encounters a powerful enemy. Who will survive this time?
