Blood is the Sky

One of the most compelling secondary figures in Steve Hamilton's series about reluctant northern Michigan PI Alex McKnight has always been his tee drinking Ojibwa Indian pal, Vinnie LeBlanc. In Blood Is the Sky, Vinnie asks Alex for help in finding his brother, a hunting guide, who has vanished in northern Ontario. Against his better judgment, Alex begins the long drive north with Vinnie. Suddenly, the two find themselves stranded in the heart of the Canadian wilderness with no food, no weapons -- and no way out.
