Christian, Is This You?: How some Christians can come down with severe Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder, and how those same Christians can get well too

I am not a doctor, I am not a psychiatrist, I am not a therapist, I am not even a licensed medical professional. This is not medical advice. But it is my experience. Around 33 years ago, a prophet from another state laid his hand on my head and said, “God desires spiritual fruits, not spiritual nuts.” Little did I know at that time that I was coming down with schizophrenia. He also said, “When you do what God is telling you to do, that thing will let go of your mind.” This book is not for everyone. It is not even intended to be for everyone. Specifically, it is written for Christians who have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder that was brought on by repeatedly not obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit . Non-Christian mental health providers may not tell you that’s possible, but I believe it is, because it happened to me. This is also a book of Hope, because if your mental health issues are a spiritual problem instead of a physical problem, then I believe God can restore your life over time because the Bible has answers for spiritual problems. God’s instructions for us are daily, specific, and personal. Maybe it’s to break off an ungodly relationship. Maybe it’s to get a job, move out of your parents’ house and start being responsible. Maybe it’s to make up with your wife or husband. Maybe it’s to start taking care of a child you’ve neglected, or to quit using drugs, or stop hanging around wrong people—or whatever. God knows what doesn’t belong in your life and He knows what does. He wants to be close to you and He’s asking you to Return to Him and Follow Him. When we resist, fear sets in, and something begins to happen in our minds. God is calling you to trust, love, and obey Him in His way. After years of involuntary hospitalizations, I purposed to line up my life with God’s instructions in the Bible. Despite being told that I was severely and permanently disabled, instead I am now married and have been working full time for 10+ years while supporting my peers in their journey. Happy Reading !
