Just like the first, CREAGER, The War Paint Killer Saga, it takes place in a scenic region south of Denver. Bedford Township, created in the early 1900s, like many developed areas, experienced times of prosperity and periods of decline. Early in the 2000s was one such period of decline. Something had to be done. The proximity to the Platte River made it the ideal location for developing a lake. In 2012, construction on the Rove Dam began. When completed, it created the largest lake in the state. Large deposits of cobalt, lithium manganese, and copper were found during the excavation of the lake bed. With the increase in the demand for EVs (electric vehicles), those minerals became much more valuable. The competition and land wars began. To boost their stagnant budget, in 2014, the state legislation made Colorado one of the first to approve the recreational use of cannabis. Cartels from the Golden Triangle of Sinaloa, Chihuahua, and Durango moved in. Who will control the production and flow of cannabis in the state? The town began to prosper, bringing in droves of outsiders. As the population increases, so does the crime.
