Once again Dakota Davison, 23-year-old Assistant Curator at the Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano, Texas, finds herself in the midst of murder and mayhem. Her brother Tom plays the part of the sheriff in a shootout staged for Heritage Festival. To everyone's horror the act turns deadly, and Tom is accused of murder. Dakota, her landlady Ida, and her boyfriend Dave Woodson, Plano PD Detective combine their efforts to find the real killer. Ida turns actress, Dakota hangs from a catwalk high over the theater stage, and Dave is reduced to calling his FBI friends for help. The poker chips come out again, the museum exhibits change, and all kinds of characters walk across the stage while Plano burns to the ground. Yee haw!
