Declaring the End from the Beginning: From the Tabernacle of Creation to the Temple of Apocalypse

Is Eden an idyllic oasis, a paradise of lush greenery and exotic creatures, meant to be savored and enjoyed only by the first couple? Or is there a more profound significance to it? Regardless of the numerous notable academics who have investigated the meaning of the garden through the ages and the many excellent papers and essays that can be found on the subject, one of the most lacking studies is on the design and function of Eden. The purpose of this study is to show that not only is Eden a pleasure paradise, but there is something much more significant about Eden: it has originated from a heavenly structure called the Heavenly Tabernacle. Furthermore, the theme of this volume is to uncover the additional overall purpose of creation, which can be discovered from Genesis to Revelation. There are fourfold: 1. A [marriage] covenant. 2. The LORD’s feasts. 3. Redemption. 4. Number seven. These four timeless themes have permeated human history, much like the four rivers that sprang from the Garden of Eden. Surprisingly, they were combined into one physical form: the Tabernacle of Moses. Later, they were also merged into the New Jerusalem, or Temple of Apocalypse, that John saw on the Island of Patmos .
