Defensible Spaces

Now that I’m 80, my life has very few pleasures. One is discovering new whiskeys. A friend just introduced me to Blue Note Honey Rye Cask. Crafted in Memphis, Tennessee, this bourbon is aged in American oak barrels, from which it emerges after three years with bold spicy notes and flavors of wildflower honey blended to a sweet, smooth harmony. Another is discovering new poets. I recently discovered M.F. Drummy, whose poetry reminds me of that whiskey.
