This book delves into the vividly dark details and grotesque (disturbing) stories of an addict and his countless trials and failures, self-betrayals, and an unsuccessful suicide attempt that seemed to be more helpful than hurtful. After enduring all of these tribulations, the author’s path had landed him in the place that he had hated and rejected the most, and surprisingly, gifted him with the one thing thatanswered all of his questions about life and sobriety once and for all; true love. Although love was the catalyst for breaking this cycle of addiction and self-sabotage, the author’s healing process and internal battles still needed a lot of tending to, even to this day, in order to become, and stay, the man he always knew he could be.
