This is the principle aerodynamics book used in USAF courses. From the Preface: This book is written for the typical pilot who has no engineering background and no desire to become involved with mathematical solutions, but would still like to expand his knowledge of flight theory. From 21 years of teaching this subject to the US Air force, Army, and Navy, I would estimate that this would include 75% of students. This book does not attempt to transfer pilots into engineers. What it does try to explain are the basics of aerodynamics as they apply to flying an airplane. In some cases formulas are presented, but a real insight to the subject can be obtained even if they are completely ignored.
