One morning, a small town paper celebrity news columnist, Anya Larsky, receives an anonymous phone call. There are strange things happening at the local wax museum owned by some Russian emigrants, claims the excited caller. One of the statues at the museum comes alive at night and throws its shoe across the room. Intrigued, the brave reporter sets out to investigate this further; she later hides herself inside the museum for the night and awaits to see what happens next. Soon enough, Anya is rewarded with the celebrity scoop of her lifetime. She lands a no holds barred interview with the ghost of a charismatic legend of a bygone era; and in the process, the girl becomes his most ardent fan.
