Until she found herself locked away in prison. But prison didn’t mark the end of Marina’s story. In fact, prison is where her story really began, because it is where she finally handed God the pen and started allowing Him to be the author of her life. The devil meant for Marina’s story to end in despair, death, and damnation, but God had other plans. In the prison, Marina found promise, promise of hope, deliverance, and salvation in Jesus Christ. In surrendering to Him, she found that her life, once devastated by the consequences of sin, was transformed by His goodness and mercy. Though currently in prison as of the writing of this book, she has never been more free, because freedom in Christ is not dependent on our surroundings.
