My autobiography is a story of rising from poverty, battling alcoholism and using my musical talent to overcome these challenges. The Family Tree on both sides of the family originated in Spain, sailed to the new Americas and finally made the journey from Mexico by crossing the Rio Grande River into Texas to seek a better life. Music was always my way of coping with what was happening around me through my childhood and into adulthood. The centerpiece of this book is my "first-hand" experience of my battle with alcoholism and my recovery process. There is a message of hope for the family that maybe in the throes of this disease.
