Grant Martin was born with a rare heart disease. Just weeks after graduating college, he underwent heart transplant surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite an epic struggle, Grant, only 24 years old, didn’t survive the transplant.
Although grief is unique to the individual, all of the brokenhearted share the harrowing journey of living with their loss.
Phil, Grant’s father, serves as a pastor and high school Bible teacher. He recounts his journey through the grief of losing his son. He experienced anger, doubt, and overwhelming sadness.
