Happiness: A State of Mind

Stress and anxiety can often be a part of our daily lives. However, these conditions will cause unhappiness and depression if they are not managed. In recent years, the imbalances in people's lives have resulted in deaths due to depression, drug overdose and suicide. These outcomes are on the rise because many people do not know how to achieve happiness. In my medical practice, counseling was an integral part of medical treatment. Many of my patients with depression were able to achieve happiness without depending on drugs. Patients with chronic medical diseases had better outcomes after adopting positive attitudes. Simple changes to the way we perceive events and address adversity can result in significant benefits. This book provides simple guidance and outlines principles to achieve happiness. I have witnessed the power of this firsthand. These positive experiences due to simple counseling is the main reason that I decided to write this book with the hope that it may help others. This book contains small chapters but each one contains the essence/extract/lessons of many philosophy books and many years of my research. It typically takes only three to five minutes to read each chapter. I advise you not to read more than one at a time and think about it for several days or even weeks. Life, and this book, is a journey. Take your time with it and let your mind and body absorb it. Read the chapters that speak to you again and again and never stop growing. I wish you a happy life.
