HISTORY AND HERESY: A HOLY PLACE
History and Heresy: A Holy Place explores the deep connections of the three Abrahamic Religions, the “People of the Book”. Beginning with the basic tenets of Jewish belief and teachings, to the development of Christian theology (birthed from Judaism), to the teachings of Islam (deeply connected to Judeo-Christian beliefs and initially considered to be a “Christian heresy”), the tapestry of connection is woven. The paths of these three faiths include twists and turns, as each of them developed over long periods of time - each with their own sacred objects and Holy Place. This book also explores some of the mystical/metaphysical aspects of the various teachings, including a focus on the hidden Divine Feminine within each of the Abrahamic faiths.
This book is meant to make people think about some very intriguing questions, and piece together a puzzle of huge proportions. Many truths about these faiths have been hidden or distorted throughout “history”, none more-so than the role of Mary Magdalene in early Christianity. Since Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code”, there have been many stories and theories about Mary Magdalene, but this book gives a new and fascinating perspective on her true role in early Christianity. A Holy Place also introduces new and surprising ideas about the layers of hidden identities of several figures in the earliest Christian community, based on the previously unrecognized intertwining of royal, political, and religious roles and identities.
