I DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO SAY IT BRIEFLY, SO I TURNED IT INTO A POEM: Story-poems, from my soul, from my body, and from my steps in self-awareness.

I no longer benefit from staying silent. So I finally undress myself in words… the way I know best. Since I was a child, I lived with an unbreakable imagination and a burning need to create. Everything that happened to me —or to those I loved— touched me so deeply, that I couldn’t help but observe its causes, its effects, its energy… how it shaped me, dragged me, drowned me, or lifted me. I am a person of sharp intuition. And many times, I had to stay quiet. Doesn’t it happen to you too? There are things that aren’t seen… and we don’t know how to explain them. Things we love or that hurt us, but we don’t know how to put into words without fearing that the world we built around them might collapse. We grew up not to disappoint. We were taught that to love was to be quiet, to give in, to adapt, not to make others uncomfortable. And so I grew up… confusing sacrifice with love, boundaries with lack of love, choice with selfishness. I stayed quiet for so long, I ended up denying myself. I hid. And my shadow took over. Art became my refuge. But my feeling… my feeling has always been my greatest power. Feeling is not a weakness, it is a fire that ignites. When we feel, we inhabit our essence. And when we move from there, we truly live. Because the most important part of us as human beings… is what can’t be seen. That which arises from a moment, that lights us up and moves us. That which cannot be controlled by the mind. My purpose with this book is to express in each poem not just a situation, an idea, or a feeling, but to truly reflect a lesson that arises from every circumstance. I’ve always felt the urgent need to share my perspective on everything I live and observe, but I didn’t always know how to say it in just a few words. And in this world where everything moves so fast, I wanted to do it in a more artistic, brief way… a way that lets you travel easily through the words, but leave with something much greater when you finish reading. This book is that: A collection of steps. A constellation of moments in which I didn’t know how to say it briefly… so I turned it into a poem. Each text here holds a truth. A lesson. A decision. An awakening. Because everything that ignites us —the good, the difficult, the confusing— comes to shape us, to reveal a power, or to change our course. Each verse is my life. Each letter, my perspective. Each poem, my truth. Which doesn’t have to be yours.
