Jesus: His Red Words

It was the words of the apostle Peter that inspired us to present the words of Christ in this format. “Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68 KJV) Any good pastor will remind you that a serious study of Biblical texts, including the words of Christ requires an examination of not only the text, but context in which the text is presented as well as an understanding of the historical and cultural events and lifestyles of the period leading up to and during which that text was recorded. This book however is not meant to be an exhaustive study of the teachings of Jesus. The contextual material surrounding the quotes of Jesus has been specifically and purposely removed so that only the words spoken by Jesus, the RED words could stand on their own. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…” (Hebrews 4:12) We invite you to read just the words spoken by the son of God without distraction and allow them to fill your heart and bring peace to your soul. Peace that comes only by knowing Christ. The best way to know Him is to listen to the words that He has spoken.
