Joining the Amazing Club Awesome Sauce (Freedom Island, 3-2)

Joining the Amazing Club Awesome Sauce is the second book in the BRAVE Books Saga Three Series. This fun story written for kids ages 4-12, is a rhyming picture book about Ana, a young pup who dreams of being just like Rebel, a hero of Freedom Island—who surely doesn’t have to follow rules. But Ana’s dad Kenny shares a story of his childhood that changes her mind. In his story, Kenny, Rebel, and their friend Calvin discover how rules keep their magnificent tree house, Club Awesome Sauce, safe and special. In this picture book Sara Carter has partnered with BRAVE Books to teach children that rules maintain order and help protect everyone. One of the most important lessons we can teach our kids is why rules are in place and why it’s important to follow them. Not only is this crucial to the development and protection of our children, but it is imperative for the continuation of a structured and safe society. Sara, who speaks Spanish fluently, is the daughter of a Cuban immigrant mother, and is very passionate about border security and the importance of crossing legally to ensure immigrant’s paths toward the American dream is safe. She has covered thousands of stories at the border over her career and her work has paved a new path in national security-related stories. Carter’s investigations uncovered secret tunnel systems, narcotics-trafficking routes and the involvement of Mexican federal officials in the drug trade.
