Just Get in the Truck: A Memoir of My Dad

This book is my story of my Dad. It focuses on the last twenty years of his life after he had been diagnosed with cancer. It contains the lessons I learned during that time with many flashbacks of precious memories from my childhood. It was written primarily for my children, grandchildren and future great-grandchildren to demonstrate the value of a Christian foundation. It is my testimony for them and for others who choose this path of life which is available for anyone. It shows the joy found in this journey that we call life when we step out in faith, willing to take risks and learn from the bumps all along the way. There is beauty all along the path when we choose to see the blessings. It confirms the promise of hope that we have been guaranteed of reuniting again in eternity as one big family because of our faith in Jesus Christ. It stresses the importance of faith, family, obedience, respect, and “doing the next right thing.” It is a story of living, learning and loving; of respect, reflection, and renewal; of perseverance, pain, patience and peace.
