Just the Way It Was

Autobiographical account by Dorothy Owens, the wife of the first vice president of The Way International, of the couple's ministry involvement. Owens was born Feb. 26, 1914, and raised on a farm in Wells County, IN. She and her husband joined The Way International in 1953. Her husband Ermal L. Owens served as first vice president of The Way International from 1954 to 1977. He died in 1981. Owens was the ministry organist for 27 years. She served on the council that oversaw The Way Family Camps beginning with the first camp in 1959. She taught Christian etiquette and song service and coordinated the Advanced Class Department.
