Kahuna Queen is a trilogy chronicling the lives of the first royal dynasty of the Sovereign Island Kingdom of Kauai. Our tale begins with Leilani, the granddaughter of a kahuna and Kane, a direct descendant of Kamahameha V. Their love for each other is as passionate as their politics. Leilani’s Hinaaloha hold that the aina is personified by the Hawaiian akua, Hina, the source of Leilani’s visions. The third tale continues with the political and spiritual education of the crown princess, Maile. Loved by all of the kanaka, Maile learns to combine her grandfather’s political talent with her grandmother’s kahuna vision. Maile’s abilities soon surpass those of her royal grandparents. As the new Kahuna Queen, she brings a wonderful future to the island kingdom and the world.
