The last verse in the Old Testament holds the key to a spiritual revolution in our generation. Malachi 4:6 says, "He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents" (NIV). There is a cry in the Body of Christ for spiritual fathers and mothers to arise and take their places. Statistics are plentiful about the negative effects of absent fathers. When a father is not in the home, the children suffer emotionally, physically, educationally, and relationally. A few years ago, I asked the question, "If fathers being absent from the home brings such terrible consequences, does the absence of spiritual fathers or mothers impact one's spiritual life?" This was the theme of my doctoral dissertation. As a result of my research, I can now confidently say that a person's spiritual life will be much better when they have a spiritual father or mother involved in their life. A believer's spiritual disciplines will be stronger when a spiritual parent is involved in their life. Every believer needs a spiritual father or mother to help them along the way! This book is written from the heart of a spiritual father to help the Body of Christ grow relationally and spiritually. Everyone grows better when a spiritual father or mother is involved in their life!
