Do you want to draw closer to God, but don't know where to begin?
What if you could transform your walk with God in forty days?
In her award-winning book, Lessons of a Dragonfly, Mary Ethel Eckard guides you through a forty-day journey of prayer and reflection. Daily readings are accompanied by scripture for further study, thought-provoking questions and prayer.
Each devotion provides nuggets of wisdom from Mary’s life and faith pilgrimage, from a place of brokenness to peace and fulfillment in God. Her stories reveal the effectiveness of prayer and thanksgiving, share powerful insight in breaking strongholds, and expose anxiety and uncertainty as roadblocks to fulfilling life’s purpose.
Lessons of a Dragonfly will change your journey from one caged in selfishness to one cloaked in faith.
Whether you are broken, recovering, or preparing for the days ahead, Lessons of a Dragonfly provides insight and wisdom to know God, to live your best life and find security in His ever-present love and power. Take the challenge. Forty days to a deeper faith!
The dragonfly is a symbol of growth and development. She is her strongest when she stays close to her source of strength, the sunlight. As she absorbs warmth from the sun, she reflects it through her wings for the world to see. We are much like the dragonfly, created to grow and develop into all God has purposed. We are our strongest and best when we stay close to our source of strength, the Son light. As we absorb His light, His Holy Spirit teaches, guides, and shines through us so others are drawn to Him. The dragonfly serves to remind us that we, too, can reflect the light of Christ in a darkened world by letting His Son shine through us. Will you be a dragonfly for God?
