Life’s Winding Road is the sequel to Perseverance Road which was published March, 2021. Perseverance Road main characters are Tom and Flora Cole. Their overspending and unemployment caused numerous hardships. They had to move from city life in West Virginia to a deserted cabin in Appalachia’s hills of Kentucky. Tom started all over in the new career of lumbering, then road construction. Flora became a crafter and used that hobby for income. I ended that book with the hint of possible danger of the tunnel construction. This sequel shares the lives of their two sons, Peter and Allen, as they enter adulthood. In Life’s Winding Road, the story continues with the tunnel construction dialog. The Cole brothers have completed high school and begin journeying down the twists and turns of adulthood as their lives evolve. Both have different means to enter and pay for college. While in college, they both change majors and the curves provided new more promising futures. As children and as teenagers their parents were the providers. In the sequel, those roles are reversed and the sons take the responsibility for their parents’ care. The end may surprise you and possibly lead to yet another sequel. What roads in life will each travel to create new possibilities for their future? What happens to the parents that necessitates the sons help? Peter’s girlfriend says No to his marriage proposal after they have dated for five years? Why? You will never know until you turn the pages of this book. Life’s Winding Road is fiction. All the characters, events and locations in this book are figments of my imagination.
