Volume I. also traces GOD’s development of a nation of people geared to fulfill his own expectations. A nation of people meant to serve as an example to the world at large. The Volume examines their hopes and desires. It chronicles their relationship with him along with their trials and tribulations in that relationship. They are promised wellbeing and prosperity provided they keep their agreement with him and obey his commands. There is just one hitch. GOD’s newly formed nation must dispossess people and nations who are totally alienated from YHWH god. And to do that, they must be in an acceptable relationship with him as their exclusive god. Volume I. dives into the record of these people, exposing both their successes and their failures in establishing a meaningful relationship with YHWH god their creator
