Marie and the Minerals In Marie and the Minerals, meet an Indigenous girl who writes about nature’s secrets for her studies. She loves nature and often walks in the forest to admire the mountains, rocks, valleys, and rivers full of fast-flowing water. All those mountains and rocks have their own stories. And they are full of minerals! While walking through the forest, Marie discovers a special secret about minerals near the big mountains. Geologist Nicole Kioe-A-Sen helped with the story by sharing her scientific knowledge. This engaging geology book introduces children to earth science through storytelling while encouraging curiosity about the natural world.
