Miles from Home

Wow, this hurts! I began this book the very next day that our son walked away and disowned his family. One evening, while we were sitting at the table trying to have a family meeting to resolve some issues, he got up from the table, said he was done, went upstairs, packed up all his things, and was picked up from our home. The next day, I was devasted. My heart never hurt so bad. My mind just replayed the looks he gave me, the hurtful way he talked to me, and the hate he had for his family. All I knew to do was turn to God. I needed help, and it was way beyond what I'd ever experienced. From the looks of it, I wasn't sure I could make it through this. One thing I am sure of is the power of God and the power of a praying momma (or loved one). So, I did the only thing I knew to do and that was dig into the Word of God. That is where this book comes in. God told me to journal this process. Journal my feelings and emotions and write how He helped me snap out of them. Take note of all the studies and encouraging things that helped me gain fuel for another day. I also have the prayers and declarations I prayed for my family, myself, my son, and my daughters.
