Description
Jim Butterfield moved to Oceanview Cove for a quiet retirement. Then the neighbor's cat started talking to him.
Jim is sixty-eight, widowed, and settling into his late wife's childhood home. He unpacks boxes. He meets the neighbors. One of them invites him over for a beer.
The next morning that neighbor is dead. Poisoned. And Jim was the last person to see him alive.
His only alibi is Ginger. The dead man's cat. Sarcastic, unimpressed, and audible to precisely one person on earth.
Then a second neighbor turns up dead, a convenient signed confession beside the body. Case closed, says the sheriff.
Which means one retired librarian and one very smug cat are all that stands between Oceanview Cove and the real killer.
