My Conversations with God II: Our Journey through ALS

God has blessed Lanier and me with a long and wonderful marriage – always with Christ at the center. But now our faith was to be tested like never before! The doctor began to say he had very bad news for us; that before any testing he was 95% sure that Lanier had ALS (The Lou Gehrig’s disease). These were the words he left us with; “You need to go and do all those things you have always wanted to do but haven’t done.” Lanier and I looked at each other and said, “We’ve already done them!” And then the doctor adds these words; “Set your things in order, you don’t have much time!” I pray you might be encouraged in some way as you read how God brought me through these hard two years – whatever you are going through; that God would encourage you as you read my journal to know He will take you through your most difficult time! All Glory and praise to my Jesus!
