MY INCREDIBLY LUCKY LIFE

On September 28, 2022, the world lost one of the smartest, funniest, most sensitive, and most opinionated storytellers. William "Hark" Welch Jordan died in the company of family after several years of chronic illness. He was born August 28, 1945, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to Welch Oliver and Marietta "Raggie" Credle Mann Jordan. He attended Emory University and was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving both his undergraduate and law degrees from UNC. He joined his father's law firm, practicing family law for 50 years, consistently earning the highest rankings of both clients and peers. He was a member of the Greensboro Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association, where he served as chair of the Family Law Committee from 1978-1980, as a member of the Family Law Section Council from 1988-1991, and as a member of the Family Law Section Curriculum Committee from 1986-2000. He was a member of the Special Services Committee of the Greensboro United Way and served on the boards of the Mental Health Association in Greensboro and the ARC. He served as a vestry member and senior warden of St. Francis Episcopal Church, where he was a long-time member.
