My Morning Walks with God, Volume 6: A Six Month Journey Filled with Reflections, Revelations and Recollections

The writer of Proverbs walked past the vineyard of a lazy man and noticed how it was overgrown with thorns and thistles. He also noticed how the stone wall surrounding the vineyard was broken down. In response to what he saw, he said, “I observed and took it to heart; I looked and received instruction” (Proverbs 24:32). I like that! I like it when a person can learn a lesson simply by observing his or her surroundings. I truly believe God puts things in our daily surroundings to teach us more about Himself. Those who pay attention “take it to heart, and receive instruction” just like the writer of Proverbs. My Morning Walks with God, Volume 6 is a devotional packed with daily “observations” from my own personal morning walk with God. I share stories and recollections of things I’ve observed and lessons I’ve learned from those observations. Whether it be a rusty old sewer lid reflecting the beauty of a morning sunrise, or a distressed downy woodpecker that I rescued from the clutches of my cat, each story contains a lesson connected to the kingdom of God.
