Here is the life story of a woman born in rural Minnesota who entered the teaching profession and rose to become a major voice in education. An educator, mother, musician, author, and visionary leader, she never slowed down or acknowledged that it was too late to do something worthwhile; she received her Ph.D degree at the age of 75 and is still going strong. Her career had a major upsurge and her life took on a dynamic turn when she met Dr. E. Paul Torrance at the University of Minnesota in 1965. After that inspirational experience, she became an enthusiastic advocate of the importance of creativity in education.
