Description
The PBL Leadership Academy is a collaboration between High Tech High and the California Department of Education to grow innovative, effective, project-based learning statewide. The PBL Leadership Academy is a year-long in-person and online teacher professional learning program for diverse teams of California public educators to grow PBL within their schools, especially as a means to improve educational experiences for traditionally marginalized students. In 2024–2025, The PBL Leadership Academy welcomed 20 teams of educators from across California, who crafted, critiqued and shared original lesson plans and curricula, developed engaging teaching practices and the systems to support them, and grew their own professional learning programs to ensure that their efforts are sustainable.
