Poets For Peace: A Collection

The collection of more than fifty poems includes works by poets throughout North Carolina, as well as William Carlos Williams, W.B. Yeats, and Buddhist Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King in 1967. Crowley says he hopes it will be used by readers, and particularly teachers, to help people understand the power of poetry to bring about peace—first in ourselves, then in our relationships with the rest of the world. All sales from the book will be placed in the North Carolina Poets for Peace Fund, which will provide financial resources for future use by poets working for peace.
