The exercises go from simple to complex with the student ultimately studying the previously learned mariachi styles from Level 1 and the mariachi styles of focus in this book: son variation, joropo, bolero ritmico, danzon, bolero ranchero, and ranchers lenta variation. The book contains a detailed introduction to the method with important information on how to set up the mariachi armonía student to succeed. Furthermore, each exercise has detailed instructions for the director to be able to teach the material. There is little else the director will need to continue to teach how to play the mariachi guitar, vihuela, and guitarron at the intermediate level.
